great place to get wild

Great place to catch dinner and a few drinks if you can get a sitter on a weekend night. Bartenders are kind of arrogant but probably just because they don't get a lot of "lady action." sorry guys, but most of us pretty ladies who come in aren't there to pick you up, we just want to have some drinks and dance to the rock band.

Such a disappointment

I didn't go to the Ragtime Tavern for a while and... boy... such a disappointment today. Just to start, the hostess placed my friend and me on a tiny table, barely big enough for one (before someone asks I'm a size 8) even if other tables were available and the restaurant was far from full. In fact when the entrees arrived few minutes after the salads (no idea why so fast) we had to help the waitress( moving pepper, salt etc on the window-sit) to make enough space to put the plates on the table. Once we were able to finish the salads paying a lot of attention to not knock the entrees from the table, everything was pretty cold. That didn't help the taste of the blackened snapper, fat to the point of being disgusting. Add to that the pressure of the waiter that asked for 4 times if my friend wanted a box even if she was eating. At the end I asked for a feedback/comment book. Guess what... they didn't have one.

WOWZA!!! Great fun, food and dancing to the great music - is all found at Ragtime. I've been coming here for 20 some years while vacationing in PVB. Since moving here, Ragtime is still my favorite time! Try it - you'll love it!

Visited Rag Time 11/08/08, there were five of us. Three ordered paella, which was incredible, a must have....don't forget to ask for bread to sop up the savory broth. My girlfriend had the cajun seafood pasta which was also delicious, light cajun cream sauce, tons of different pieces of seafood, like the paella. Might be a little rich for some. I had the filet and shrimp. The filet came as cubes on a skewer that were just like butter when eaten, the shrimp were stuffed with bacon and tons of crab meat, tasty mashers too. Drinks: pale ale was decent, but the honey wheat is over the top, wish they bottled it. Desert: bourbon pecan pie was small and sloppy, key lime cheese cake was good, not the best ever but good.
